3 Values that Drive Growth-Oriented Insurance Programs

Bigdata2_223785412The Professional Insurance Marketing Association published an informative report this year entitled Affinity 2020. The report identifies three overarching themes that will be our focus in delivering successful retention and growth-oriented insurance programs to our Affinity partners:

  • Demographic changes that must drive affinity market strategy.
  • New technology is revolutionizing how business is done.
  • Ever increasing regulations: oversight, change and complexity.

We will address all three themes over the next couple months. Big Data is part of the technology revolution. The objective of managing data solutions is to capitalize on the opportunity to extract value from the relationships with our affinity partners through sophisticated data and analytics capabilities. Modeling will be expected and used for the entire lifecycle of a customer’s journey. We, as marketers for our association clients, will conduct micro-market segmentation where Big Data solutions are applied.

Big Data adds a new dynamic to the marketing mix. The new normal of segmentation will capture deeper personal information in addition to prospects’ digital persona, predictive shopping behavior and distribution preferences.

Associations and their affinity marketing partners will be empowered to use the new strategies and tactics to attract, retain and engage high-value members.
